EForAll Accelerators: Cape Cod & Berkshire County
The Accelerator is a free, one-year program offered twice a year in EforAll communities. It provides immersive business training, mentorship and access to an extended professional network. Check out the TYE Entrepreneurship Academy, a 15+ year entrepreneurship academy for exceptional high school students that is taught by real entrepreneurs and experts in the field. The TYE program is committed to offering our students a 6-month, in-person educational experience where students can collaborate with like-minded peers, learn directly from startup founders and industry experts, and compete for up to $9k in cash prizes and the chance to represent Boston at the TYE Global Competition. The InnovateMass program provides up to $250,000 in grant funding and technical support to applicant teams deploying new clean energy technologies or innovative combinations of existing technologies with a strong potential for commercialization. Successful applicants will propose projects that address important energy challenges, help to grow the state’s clean energy economy, and contribute to Massachusetts’ continued clean energy leadership. Bristol Myers Squibb is accepting applications for its BMS Golden Ticket at LabCentral Contest. Each Golden Ticket awards a winning startup one year of underwritten laboratory bench space and resident benefits at LabCentral, a shared laboratory space in Cambridge designed as a launchpad for life science and biotech startups.  Applications are open until August 17. EmPower Massachusetts is a program offering funding to increase equitable access to the benefits of clean energy. Opportunities are available for community-based organizations, clean energy installers, financial institutions, municipalities, and more. Applications are due August 18. More information here.

The FORGE Product Development Grant is non-dilutive funding awarded to a startup(s) to support the development of a physical product. The goal of the grant is to remove barriers to scale and manufacturing, supporting impactful startup companies by accelerating their physical product development timeline or manufacturing readiness level. In order to be considered for the FORGE Product Development Grant, the startup needs to submit this initial application, and if chosen, pitch in front of an expert panel of suppliers during FORGE’s annual Showcase, and a component of this year’s Massachusetts Manufacturing Mash-Up event on September 28. Greentown Labs, a climatetech startup incubator, is accepting applications for the Greentown Launch Healthy Buildings Challenge. The accelerator will be hosted with Saint-Gobain, a multinational manufacturer and distributor of high-performance materials, with additional support from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center. It will provide selected building tech startups to gain access to Saint-Gobain leadership, potential partnership opportunities, desk space at Greentown Labs, $25,000 in non-dilutive grant funding and more. The Berkshire Sustainability Challenge is a competition that will award a $20,000 innovation grant to the startup that presents the most scalable clean energy business model. Startups selected as finalists will receive a $3,500 scholarship provided by MassCEC. The winner of the innovation grant will be incubated at Lever for four months at no cost. MassCEC announces the official launch of Accelerating Clean Transportation for All (ACT4All), a program that aims to increase clean transportation access and decrease transportation burden for underserved and overburdened communities. Proposals are due September 7. Learn more here.

Eligible Massachusetts businesses of any size may apply for training grants through the Workforce Training Fund’s Express Program. The Express Program offers cash grants to businesses to cover up to 50% of the cost of training employees, up to $3,000 per employee per course. Additional limitations apply. More information here.

The Seed Investments Program is a two-stage investment program that provides up to $250,000 in convertible notes to pre-seed or seed-stage clean energy startups. The program exists to support companies as they advance and commercialize clean energy technologies and business models. More information here.
